Hi Everyone —
We had a small gathering today but were able to get lots of stitching done while solving the world’s problems! Linda M was off delivering our pieces for the Woodlawn Exhibit so I subbed as hostess for her!
Without further ado:
I think you will agree that there are some very lovely color combinations!
Jill will join us in this year’s SOTM, but only after she finishes last year’s! She is on the last motif!
Another beautiful color combination!
So we are off to a good start — Marisa has already called “Dibs” on mine since it matches her bed quilt! As always, it is wonderful to stitch with friends!
Brenda is stitching with the SOTM Group from a remote location. You can read about her stitching on her blog Brenda’s Needlepoint Studio
Noelle has caught up with stitching the SOTM. Beautiful color choices!
I don’t know what I was thinking but I messed up photographing Janet’s January start. She graciously sent a photo of her canvas so that it could be included in the blog. Thanks, Janet!
If any of our other SOTM group has started, please post your progress!
Another year another SOTM project!
On a day that seemed more like May than January, the SOTM group gathered to stitch. We welcomed a few new stitchers to our group – we are so happy to have you!
Most of us are stitching the “official” ANG SOTM, which is an 8-pointed star designed by Kathy Rees. Kathy used a dark red and a dark blue for her palette, alternating points of the stars.
Here is our start on the project. Several of our stitchers are using Kathy’s suggested threads. However, it wouldn’t be an NJNA SOTM project if there weren’t color changes! What do you think will be the second color in February for each stitcher? (Apologies to Janet as I messed up photographing her piece.)
A few of our members are stitching SOTM projects from previous years and we expect to have their progress photos in next month’s installment. We also encourage anyone who doesn’t attend the session to post progress photos!
